The Arkaquah Trail

The Arkaquah Trail is a 5.5 mile trail that starts at the parking lot of Brasstown Bald, GA and goes to Track Rock Gap Archaeological Site east of Blairsville, GA. The trail is moderate difficulty if hiked from Brasstown to Track Rock, but, the trail is considered very strenuous if hiked from the Track Rock end to Brasstown Bald (uphill direction). There is parking on each end for those who prefer to leave a car to shuttle back to the start. There are lots of nice mountain views along the way along with excellent wildflower habitat. The archaeological site is very interesting with rock carvings which some archaeologists date back to 1000 B.C. | Click photo below for a complete hike report:
